grrrowl.

My boss runs a hockey team down in Findlay, called the Grrrowl (when you say it, be sure to emphasize the grr part). They've been short on workers all season, so finally I decided to suck it up and go work the game. These kids are ROUGH. I got to be the merchandise girl, and was quite a good "chuck-a-puck" sales girl. I had never heard of "chuck-a-puck" but the basic premise of the contest is to throw a rubber hockey puck and try to be the closest to center ice. If you were tonight, you got either a free pizza or an oil change. I personally would have taken the oil change. Anyway, I sold t-shirts and couldn't resist taking a picture of this one... looks like the Grrrowl dog had a late night at the bar. BAD DOG!

Hey Mother Nature... about that ice...

So yeah, I know that this is definitely bad for the house. But look at this crazy display of icicles we've got going on here. Stalactites all the way.

Oh Mother Nature, about this snow, you can have it back...

On top of the snow we recently got here in Toledo (why by the way, in case you were wondering, snow does NOT melt at -30 degree windchill factors, just for future reference), it snowed again last night and today. The result... a LOT of snow. Logan shoveled the sidewalk today, and I figured I'd post a few pics from this evening. The ruler is 12 inches, and yeah that's where the shovel pile is, but it was entertaining.

What's new pussy cat... wooooah wooooah woooooah.

As most of you know, I am not a fan of cats... not in the slightest. Kitty, however, isn't your typical cat. Since getting my new camera, Kitty has been my primary model. She basically hates me now because of it, but these were four of my favorites. The top left was actually about the third picture I took with the camera -- the depth of field was awesome. In the top right, I'd like to point out how much she looks like she is going to kill someone, despite Logan's enthusiasm. Bottom left was just cute, and bottom right... I mean really, who can resist a drunk cat picture even when it's not in total focus.

New blog!

So I'm attempting this photo blog. Hopefully I'll keep it updated. The picture above was taken in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. The night before we went to the show, I had been talking to my dad about wanting to see the new "eco-friendly" cars. Now you have to know my dad for this to make total sense, but he's a Mopar man. Needless to say, green cars are not his forte. He proceeded to inform me that I was a "bleeding heart liberal," which I've been having fun with ever since. The second stop at the auto show was the Toyota section, which had eco friendly flooring. I just had to take a picture of it for him.
